My sister got married in this forest I call home, in the autumn when the leaves & the creatures were rather busy. The air in the autumn has always felt full to me. There’s motion that buzzes & pulses & in each breath of autumn air it fills me. I love to be filled with the rhythm of autumn.

A romantic day in the gardens meets a late night on the town.

I welcomed Kate into my holiday studio set. Embracing her journey into motherhood, she chose to honor this transformative time in her life with a statement – donning black lingerie and accentuating her growing curves. This symbol of empowerment and self-love, welcomed the changes her body was undergoing with grace and confidence.

The spirit of the mother, meets the spirit of the holidays, in these moments of celebration.

We wandered the streets, dizzy in love. Pauline & Darrin danced outside their first apartment together, and let the spirit of the city guide the adventure.

We found reflections of one-another.

And then there was the way her lips melted into the safety of his touch.

The way just his hand on her cheek could make the world stop.

It was a dream to photograph this editorial at Bavaria Downs, a gem to be found in Chaska, MN. Undoubtedly one of my favorite local venues, Bavaria Downs hosts the Edward Anne Estate, as pictured here, alongside Equestria West. The Edward Anne Estate carries French countryside influence and is situated on 200 acres of expansive, rolling hillside. If you'd wish for a destination wedding in Europe but still want that big bash with all your family and friends, Bavaria Downs is the escape you're looking for.

Inspired by the old-world charm of Bavaria Downs, Hannah & Jered were the featured lovers in this romantic tale. Hannah's bridal look was styled with a feminine floral makeup look, complimented by a long, effortlessly lived-in braid. The lace and tulle of this BHLDN gown was a wonderfully delicate piece and with 3/4 sleeves, added to the nostalgia.

On a misty early fall day, Aaron and Maribeth exchanged vows amidst the rustic charm of the Dellwood Barn. The air was tinged with anticipation, as a gentle fog ethereally draped the landscape.

The couple chose a first look moment before the ceremony. This first look was a great testament to the way it can establish comfort and safety, in being present with each other. It was such an emotional release for this couple, that paved the way for a joy filled day.
